Browsing
When you browse MirrorMate, you do so anonymously. We do not collect your name, email address or any other personal information unless you provide it to us. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which parts of our website you visit and how long you spend there. Your browser also automatically supplies us with the type of computer and operating system you are using. We do not follow your browsing path outside of MirrorMate.
Back to TopInformation we collect online
In several areas of our site, we ask you to provide information by filling out and submitting an online form. In the checkout area we ask for name, address, email, credit card and other information needed to process your order. Once you've registered, you will have an account at MirrorMate. (Please note: For your comfort, we do NOT store your credit card number in your account. You will have to enter the number each time you order.)
Back to TopHow we use the information we collect
If you provide us with your email or postal address, or have done so in the past, we will ask you if we can use it to send you updates on the latest MirrorMate products and promotions.
In order to make improvements in the way we communicate and interact with customers, MirrorMate may also compile aggregate data from all of our customers to prepare internal reports about which pages are popular, how many total unique users visit our site, and different traffic patterns. MirrorMate does not use your personally identifiable information with information about pages visited, purchases made, or any other clickstream data.
Back to TopCookies - what they are and how we use them
What is a Cookie?
Like many other commercial websites, MirrorMate uses a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about how you use the site. A cookie is a small file stored on your computer by a Web site to give you a unique ID. Cookies help make it easier for you to use our site, and they help us customize your experience so that we can provide you with the information you need – when and where you need it.
How we use Cookies.
A cookie generated by our site contains a numeric ID that, for example, allows you to retrieve your Shopping Cart and place an order. We also use cookies to help us know what interests you on our site. In keeping with our standard policy on customer information, we analyze data gathered via cookies only in aggregate, not at the individual customer level.
How we don't (or can't) use Cookies.
We do not use cookies to track your web browsing away from MirrorMate, nor can we. We cannot tell where you have been or where you go once you leave the MirrorMate site. We do not use cookies to match you with any outside or third party database.
How we use e-mail
Occasionally, we send out e-mail updates on products, sales, special events, and promotions. Certain customers whom we think might be interested in learning about this information will receive these emails. All e-mail offers that you receive from MirrorMate will tell you how to decline further e-mail offers.
We also use e-mail as a means of communicating with our customers. We love to hear from you, and we encourage you to email us with your questions or comments. We read every e-mail we receive.
Back to TopDeclining e-mail offers
MirrorMate provides customers with an easy means of declining e-mail offers. Although most customers tell us they appreciate receiving notice of these opportunities, we recognize the importance of providing you with choices. At any time, you may request to discontinue receiving these offers from us by simply replying to the e-mail and informing us of your preferences.
Back to TopInformation we do not share with others
We do not contribute to or participate in shared or cooperative databases, which give other companies access to your personal information. We do not release credit card or financial information for use by other companies. We do not share, sell or trade information collected as part of a survey or specific details about you or your household. For privacy purposes, all information relating to our customers is stored on a highly secure server.
